The same caladium can produce different colour pigments
-
Lighting: Thrives in full / partial shade / bright / indirect light
Watering: Water once top inch of soil is dry-prefers to be consistently moist (try to bottom water whenever possible to avoid those ghats!)
Soil: Well-draining soil (I use a cacti / a desert mix for all my plants). They despise sitting in soggy soil, add perlite or vermiculite for aeration
Environment: Native to the tropics, they require high humidity and warmth (ideally above 21°C)
Toxicity: Caladiums are toxic when digested, keep away from pets and children
Top Tip: Caladiums love humidity. Mist your plant 2 to 3 times per week. Group plants close together to create a natural humid microclimate
